Belief & Mission Statement for Church in the Valley
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, that He came to earth by birth to a virgin and lived a servant among his people as Emmanuel (God with us), the only pure and sinless life ever lived; that through his death on the cross, we receive forgiveness of sins. We believe that He will come again in His glory to receive the faithful to be with Him forever in the place He is now preparing for those who love His appearing.
We believe that Jesus Christ established His church on the first Pentecost after His resurrection and that it shall endure by the power of the Holy Spirit to break down and consume kingdoms on earth until He comes again to receive His church unto himself. We believe that the church exists to (1) proclaim the gospel to all, (2) worship, praise, and honor God, (3) promote growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, (4) fulfill the law of love to "bear one another's burdens" in loving care and fellowship. To these ends we dedicate ourselves as members of the family of God here at the Church in the Valley.
